Well well Hell.

This is too relatable. I am going on 4 1/2 years in an office work environment. And as I was applying for a city manager position. One of the questions they asked was :
Boss - "If this position is offered to you, how would you handle having to fire an employee?"
Me - (I dont remember my response, but I basically said that I would be able to handle it and it wouldn't be a problem.)
Boss - "And what if it was one of your friends?"
Me - (Getting kind of annoyed with the way this question is being asked, I still reply saying it wouldn't be an issue and its just part of the job. Sometimes you hire, sometimes you fire.)
Boss - "You seem like a smart kid, I know you'll go places someday. Thanks for your time."

I never got contacted for that promotion, and I'm kind of glad. I wouldn't want to share a confined space with someone like that, even if I'm getting paid more to do it.
